What goes on in that bowl?

Honey Nut Cheerios. Oh-my-goodness. Lets just say... I am currently addicted. They are the are simply amazing. You can eat them with milk, you can eat them plain. They are not too sweet. And they are good for yer heart.

So I'm on this health kick. For the most part. I haven't really mentioned it to people, and once I see that I am doing good at it I will tell you a little more. But for right now we can talk about the diet. Now I'm not horrible looking. I have a decent shape to my body, and seven years after high school I am still basically the same tiny size. But with age comes changes. I am active but not so active if that makes any sense at all. I've never been one to wan to sweat and put out a lot of energy working out or playing sports. In high school I was on the swim team, which is a lot of work I might add. But you're in the pool instead of sweating in the Florida heat on some field somewhere or running around the city. Yea... F that.

Well over the past 3 years of being at Ringling, my lifestyle took on a new spin. I have always been in school but it never had the demands like this school had. Three years of sitting on me bum, pumping caffeine and sugary snacks into my body. Now, not to sound vein, and the boys still say my ass is to par, howev... It isn't to my standard. Which I am sure many of you can agree with me. People in you're life will tell you that you look great and you don't need to do a thing. But for your personal self to be happy you do.

Well one of the things on my list of 30 things to do before I turn 30 is getting in the best shape of my life. So where do we start? Diet and exercise. So my diet I am trying right now is the clean eating diet. And no its not just washing your fruits and veggies before you eat them. It is putting things in your body that haven't been altered. Organic fruits and veggies. Lean meats. No refined sugar. Nothing white unless its a fruit or veggie. You're supposed to cut out caffeine and alcohol too but that part of the diet can go jump off a bridge.

So being in Cali and San Francisco of all places has done me good. With Trader Joe's I have lots of affordable healthier options to my foods. Plus they do not carry things like pizza rolls that I grew up with so I am not tempted to buy. Well my main problem right now is that I leave for home in a few weeks. So buying stuff that isn't going to be eaten in a week or so is out of the question. So my meals are pretty basic. Then theres my mom.

Now... I am not complaining. I have lived with my parents pretty much my entire life except for a year when I moved to Sarasota, that is only an hour drive away, and for the 4 months I have been here. So care packages is something I have never had the chance to get before. I was always so jealous when my friends would come into class with a huge box full of junk that reminds them of home. Well here it is. My turn to get the box full of junk. Ohhh so delicious. Of coarse I am also not going to let this stuff go to waste either. In fact I got this box last week and I have devoured half of it.

Back to the cheerios before I get further into my tangent. So the other day I get the cravings... You know. The ones that you know you won't be able to sleep at night unless you get that satisfaction of what pangs you. Well mine happened to be Honey Nut O's. I swear, I have been finding every reason to break into that box this past week. I am not a huge cereal eater. In fact if there is a box in the house and unless I want it, I wont eat it. But cereal really is just perfect. It's cold and delicious. There is so many different combinations for your taste buds. It is also a great midnight snack. I hate going to bed hungry. In fact if I'm hungry I usually cant sleep. So this is where these little guys win the game.

My top 10 cereals of choice:

                                  10. Peanutbutter Captain Crunch
                                  9. Life
                                  8. Sugar Pops
                                  7. Rice Krispies
                                  6. Cinnamon Toast Crunch
                                  5. Lucky Charms
                                  4. Kix
                                  3. Frosted Mini Wheats
                                  2. Honey Nut Cheerios
                                  1. Frosted Flakes

As you can see, I really don't go for the super sugary cereals. But every once and a while they are fun to enjoy.

What is your favorite cereal? Could you eat it everyday? Or only when the craving gets to you like me? Can you eat your cereal right away? Or do you have to mix it up till it all touches the milk at some point?

  1. Well my favorite cereal is captain crunch Berry's, peanut butter crunch and lucky charms. I was completely addicted to cereal when I was pregnant with Taylor. Breakfast lunch brunch snack dinner and before bed lol. I have to take my spoon and drown all my cereal before I eat it but I have to finish before it gets soggy witch is never a problem. Love ya girl. Miss you so.

    1. I am totally the same. I can not... and i mean CAN NOT eat my cereal until it is all drowned in milk. However, I also have to eat my cereal before it gets soggy... soggy cereal is a species I do not agree with.
